Welcome to IB Demystified. By using ibdemystified.com, creating an account, or buying tutoring or study resources from us, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use our website or services.

Using our website

You may use this website to learn about our services, contact us, read our published content, and access anything you have paid for.

You agree not to:

• Interfere with the website or attempt to access parts of it you are not entitled to
• Use it for anything unlawful, harmful or fraudulent
• Copy, download in bulk, resell or republish our study materials
• Share your account or membership with anyone else

Your account

Some parts of the site require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details private and for anything done through your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.

Please give accurate details when you register. If a student is under 18, a parent or guardian should set up the account and make the booking.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, shares paid material, or is used abusively toward our staff or tutors.

Tutoring services

We provide one-to-one online tutoring with experienced teachers and IB examiners, along with revision courses and study resources.

• Lessons are delivered online at a time agreed between you and your tutor
• We will do our best to keep you with the same tutor, but we may need to assign a different one if yours becomes unavailable
• Tutoring hours are bought in packages and used against booked lessons

Booking, cancelling and rescheduling

Lessons are arranged with your tutor once a package is bought.

If a tutor has to cancel, the lesson is rescheduled at no cost to you and the hour is not deducted.

Prices and payment

• All prices are shown in pounds sterling
• Payment is taken at the time of purchase through our payment provider
• Tutoring rates depend on the package tier you choose, and larger packages are charged at a lower hourly rate. The current rate for each package is shown on the packages page at the time you buy
• We may change our prices at any time, but a change never affects a package you have already bought

Refunds

If you change your mind about a purchase, contact us at info@ibdemystified.com and we will deal with it fairly.

• Unused tutoring hours may be refunded within 14 days of purchase
• Hours already used are deducted from any refund at the standard rate for that package
• Study hub memberships give immediate access to digital material. By buying one you agree that access begins straight away, and the 14-day cancellation right no longer applies once you have opened the resources
• If something has gone genuinely wrong with a lesson, tell us and we will put it right

Study hub memberships and school licences

• A membership gives one person access to the resources included in the plan they bought, for the period they bought it
• Memberships are personal. Sharing login details, or copying and distributing the material, ends the membership without refund
• School licences cover the number of staff and students agreed at the time of purchase, and the terms of that agreement apply alongside these terms
• Monthly memberships continue until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time, taking effect at the end of the paid month

Our materials

Everything on this website — text, images, notes, question banks, mark schemes, videos and course material — belongs to IB Demystified unless stated otherwise. You may use it for your own study. You may not copy, share, sell, republish or adapt it without our written permission.

IB Demystified is an independent tutoring service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the International Baccalaureate Organization.

Results

Our tutors are experienced teachers, examiners and moderators, and we work hard to help every student improve. We cannot and do not guarantee any particular grade or exam result. Outcomes depend on the student's own work as well as the teaching.

Limitation of liability

We are not liable for website downtime, technical faults, errors in general content on the site, or events outside our reasonable control such as internet outages on either side.

Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. None of this affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Ending these terms

You may stop using the website at any time and close your account by emailing us. We may suspend or end your access if these terms are broken, if payment is not made, or if behaviour toward our staff or tutors is abusive.

Privacy

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the website means you accept the updated terms.
