Online revision course
IB Maths Analysis and Approaches Higher Level (AA HL) Paper 3 is the most demanding exam in the Diploma, and it carries 20% of your final grade. It is unlike the other papers: it is built around investigation, mathematical proof and conceptual understanding rather than routine calculation.
There are only two extended-response questions, and they reach the deepest HL-only content — proof by induction, complex numbers and advanced differential equations. That is exactly why it can be taught: the paper is predictable in shape, even when the questions are unfamiliar.
Strategy for success
Understand what each instruction word is actually asking for, and use it, to earn the full marks on offer.
Explore the pattern first and verify the result afterwards. The calculator is a reasoning tool here, not just an answer machine.
Around 35 minutes a question, so neither one is abandoned half-finished and the follow-through marks are secured.
Unfamiliar scenarios stop being frightening once you have met enough of them under timed conditions.
The workshop
Course details
The course runs over two days, with two hours of live teaching each day — four hours in total, aimed squarely at the two questions you will actually sit.
18:00 – 20:00 UK time, both days
Install Zoom before the first session, so none of the two hours is spent setting up.
Miss a part and nothing is lost — every session is recorded in full.
Go back over the material whenever you need it, right up to the exam.
