Dr. Andreas Economou holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, specializing in the total synthesis of (±)-steganacin from The University of Manchester (Sep 2008 – May 2013). He began his academic journey with a Chemistry degree at the same institution, achieving a commendable 6.41/10 (2.1 MChem equivalent). Currently pursuing further studies in Chemistry (IGCSE/IAL (AS/A2)) at IMS Private School, Limassol, Cyprus, since September 2023, Dr. Economou is also an IBDP Examiner and Moderator.Dedicating a significant part of his career to education, Dr. Economou served as an MYP Integrated Science Teacher and taught IB DP Chemistry (HL/SL/AD) at the American International School in Cyprus from August 2014 to June 2022. He also contributed to the academic community by instructing IB DP Environmental Systems and Societies (SL/AD), emphasizing his commitment to fostering knowledge in the field of science.
